The South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute, (SAHMRI) was built as a leading-edge Medical Research Centre in order for South Australia to become one of the major Medical Research Centres worldwide. It houses approximately 600 staff
It was built in order to draw many different aspects of medical research and top researchers into one central hub.
Scope of Work
The scope of work involves the insulation and specialised insulation of the duct and pipework associated with air conditioning, Chilled water Pipework, Hot water Pipework insulation of ductwork and the fireproofing of ductwork and wall penetrations to meet new standards of building fire protection in Australia.
It was a condition of Contract award that insulation practices should be performed to the very highest standards.
The works were performed within budget and on time.
